Warehouse Operative

Purpose of the Role

Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse.

 

What skills and experience are essential to do this job?

· To be well organised and manage own work load

· To work as part of a team.

· Experience of working under pressure and managing tight deadlines.

· Have good written and verbal communication skills

 

What do I need to achieve and deliver to be effective in this job?

· Support and help load the drivers in the morning, and check off their vans before they leave the depot.

· Help the drivers unload in the afternoon, and double check their paperwork is correct.

· To assist in unloading any suppliers when receiving an item.

· To efficiently pick the hire & sale items required for the next day, ensuring that all items picked are clearly in the available marked areas and tagged accordingly.

· To carry out various stock checks as and when necessary.

· Must wear PPE and abide by health and safety rules at all times.

· To greet customers when they arrive, and bring them to the office.

· Keep work area clean and safe and organised.

· To assist the workshop with cleaning equipment when required.

· To undertake any other duties or special projects which may be regarded as within the responsibility of the post.
